One of the Strategic Objectives of the Department is to Support the Community, Voluntary and Charity Sector to strengthen its capacity to contribute to civil society and support the growth and development of philanthropy. Grant funding is provided to key organisations (Philanthropy Ireland and Charities Institute Ireland) for their core costs on a matched funding basis.
