This programme provides funding for the Dublin North East Inner City Initiative. This initiative is focussed on tackling deprivation and poverty issues in central Dublin city, through social and economic regeneration. A range of work is undertaken across a number of areas including: • Tackling crime and drugs. • Maximising educational / training opportunities / creating local employment opportunities. • Creating an integrated system of social services. • Improving the physical landscape. • Substance use and misuse.
